About The Position
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Specialist in Mc Lean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location as an unarmed patrol officer, helping maintain a welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will conduct routine patrols of public areas, back-of-house spaces, and parking areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist with access control, and document observations. Requirements
- 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves

- Customer Service Experience - preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and resort location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, medical calls, and/or property damage reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter incidents.
- Control access as assigned by monitoring entrances, restricted areas, and back-of-house spaces, verifying credentials and/or directing visitors in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activities, and observations, and communicate promptly with property management and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
