About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Retail in Spring, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This position requires both an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license, as you may be required to drive during your shifts. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or suspicious behavior.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to management and/or law enforcement as needed.
Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
Remain armed and prepared to respond to high-risk situations in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal policies.
