Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Being at least 21 years of age is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and authorization according to site protocols.
Identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, or unusual activity to supervisory personnel and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related issues and maintain open lines of communication.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
Participate in regular training sessions and maintain proficiency with post orders, site policies, and the proper use of assigned equipment including firearms.
