About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding to situations as needed. This position requires both driving and carrying a firearm as part of your daily responsibilities. You will provide exceptional customer service while remaining visible and approachable, supporting our commitment to teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A valid firearms permit is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or potential threats to the appropriate authorities.
Maintain visibility throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Follow all site-specific protocols, including those related to access control and visitor management.
Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns as directed by site leadership.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or law enforcement as needed.
