About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires driving and carrying a firearm as part of your daily responsibilities. You will maintain visibility throughout the area, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with the public and team members, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
1 or more years of armed security experience, law enforcement experience, and/or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
Complete detailed reports and documentation related to daily activities, incidents, and/or emergency situations.
Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies while carrying out assigned duties at the government location.
