As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will carry an armed guard card or license and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of Security Experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be 21+ Years of Age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with clinical staff, local law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Maintain a visible, professional armed presence while monitoring for suspicious activity, following post orders and use of force guidelines, and completing required equipment checks and documentation.
• Document patrols, incidents, and service calls in detailed reports, and communicate observations and status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
