As a Patrol Officer supporting a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations and assist with access points as needed, acting with integrity and teamwork. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license.

Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, and policy violations; report concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, alarms, and maintenance-related hazards; request additional assistance when needed.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support shift turnover with timely updates.
