Location Long Beach, California Excellent benefits and career growth opportunities As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal on an armed, driving patrol post supporting a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and requests, and document activity using a computer or tablet. Bring a valid armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. You will represent our agile, reliable, innovative team with a caring, people-first approach and integrity.
Requirements
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the commercial property, including interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, as permitted by post orders.
- Monitor access points and building activity, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and local public responders as needed.
- Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol activity, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate observations to the site supervisor and/or property management.
