Job Description As a Security Guard – Armed Mall Site Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at this dynamic retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct regular patrols and interact with visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification if applying in Texas.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings as needed.
Maintain detailed records and logs of patrols, incidents, and interactions as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Assist with crowd management and access control during peak hours or special events as directed.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related situation that may arise within the retail or mall environment.
