As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible and approachable. Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for any potential issues.
- Monitor and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual activity within the retail environment.
- Interact with visitors, employees, and/or vendors in a courteous and professional manner while upholding security-related protocols.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and adhere to all Allied Universal policies and procedures while on duty.
- Carry and maintain responsibility for assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
