You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and professionalism. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors at a government location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, watching for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor check-in and directional assistance, and reporting access issues to the appropriate authority.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and shift briefings, and communicate promptly with supervisors, site contacts, and/or local public agencies when assistance is needed.
