About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Hospital Patrol in Denmark, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a healthcare location. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to incidents as needed. Requirements

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies if needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document observations and incidents clearly and promptly, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and visitors to address concerns and provide assistance as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities and assist with evacuation procedures as directed by site leadership.
