Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Hospital in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal on an education campus as an armed patrol officer, using a valid Armed Guard Card or License while conducting routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and responding to calls with calm, professional communication. You will build rapport with students, staff, and visitors, document observations, and support campus operations. Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Valid Firearms Permit is preferred.
• A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, common areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, completing security-related reports and/or logs according to site requirements.
• Support campus events and after-hours operations by maintaining a professional presence, providing directions and/or assistance, and communicating with site contacts as needed.
