About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Site in Lumberton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A valid firearms permit is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter, remaining alert to any suspicious activity or potential threats.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activities.
Document observations, incidents, and/or any unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate, supporting responses to emergencies or incidents.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter potential disturbances and promote a secure environment.
Adhere to all company and site-specific policies regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.
