As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong, visible presence at a government location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and contribute to a collaborative team environment built on integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site-specific protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during patrols.
Work in collaboration with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed, following established protocols for the government environment.
Remain alert and observant at all times, being prepared to address security-related concerns that may arise during the shift.
Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including communication devices and/or security-related technology, in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
