As a Security Guard - Armed Government Perimeter Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols appropriate for armed patrols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and check credentials of individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site protocols.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to situations that may require an armed response, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following established escalation procedures.
