Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Operations in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate conflict resolution skills.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Complete and maintain accurate reports and logs of activities, incidents, and/or observations during the shift.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal policies, procedures, and training requirements, including the proper handling and carrying of a firearm in accordance with applicable regulations.
