Requirements

Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Baton certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or activity, and communicate findings to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
Control access to restricted areas and verify the credentials of individuals entering the premises, in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any hazards or irregularities observed during patrols.
Document incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed written reports as required by site procedures.
Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications to carry out armed security-related duties.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols.
