Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Government Driver in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This position requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your duties. You will remain highly visible, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting any concerns.
Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior within the government facility.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary, following established procedures.
Adhere to all company and site-specific guidelines regarding the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.
