About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Facility Patrol in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. This armed post requires you to conduct routine patrols, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with all individuals on site. Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be certified in CPR and first aid is preferred.
  • Have experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Identify and address security-related issues as they arise during patrols and while on post.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report findings to appropriate personnel.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while performing patrol duties.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
