About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Facility Patrol in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. This armed post requires you to conduct routine patrols, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with all individuals on site. Requirements

Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be certified in CPR and first aid is preferred.
Have experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Identify and address security-related issues as they arise during patrols and while on post.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report findings to appropriate personnel.
Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while performing patrol duties.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
