Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Facility Patrol in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This armed and driving role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or equivalent is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site-specific guidelines.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and promote a secure environment.
Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors, providing assistance and information as needed.
Complete detailed reports and documentation related to incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement when required, following all applicable regulations and procedures.
