As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to requests, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing strong customer service. Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have security-related experience of 6+ months.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas; document observations and report unusual conditions that may help to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Control access at designated points by verifying identification and/or authorization, directing visitors, and maintaining required visitor, vehicle, and/or package screening logs.
• Carry and handle issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws; complete required checks, secure storage, and written reports.
