Job Description As a Security Guard - Apartment Patrol Driver in Glen Oaks, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will complete vehicle patrols, conduct routine property checks, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and site leadership while delivering customer service with professionalism. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor and vehicle activity, verifying authorization where required and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in written reports and/or activity logs, and communicate significant events to site leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
