As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, assist travelers and team members with customer service, and communicate timely observations to site leadership. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminal areas, gate corridors, baggage claim, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas by checking credentials, directing foot traffic, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts per site-specific procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with site contacts and/or local authorities as directed.
  • Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate observations to supervisors and/or site management, and support investigations by preserving observations and details.
