About The Position

Principal is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist II to join our Principal Custody Solutions (PCS) team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, this may be the position for you! As a Securities Operations Specialist II, you will perform a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require extensive knowledge of unit functions and systems. Here are some examples of the kinds of things you'll do: Manage complex securities activities Differentiate, process, and reconcile transactions Research inquiries and resolve customer complaints for internal partners and/or clients and investment managers Review time critical and/or complex documents Coordinate situations involving multiple departments Provide department level reporting using multiple sources Day-to-day income and entitlements processing Provide training and support to team members, offer guidance, and assist with updating procedures and process improvements Back-up other desks and work under minimal supervision Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service, operations, financial services or business processing
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgement
  • Ability to comprehend moderate operational processes and their interrelationship
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and adaptability
  • Self-starter with ability to follow request through resolution
  • Proficiency with key MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Teams)

Nice To Haves

  • Trust and Custody experience
  • Experience with industry tools such as SEI T3000, DTCC, Fed, and SWIFT is preferred

Responsibilities
