About The Position

At Methodist Rehabilitation Orthotics & Prosthetics, we're looking for a friendly and organized individual to join our team in the Ruston, LA office. Your main goal will be to keep our office running smoothly every day. You'll be the go-to person for making sure everything is in order, from answering phones to greeting patients and handling appointments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Good visual ability is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is required

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of office experience, including computer and word processing is preferred
  • Experience in managing correspondence is preferred
  • Two years with insurance verification, pre-certification, and billing is a plus
  • Understanding of regulatory guidelines, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate daily office operations to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Handle multiline phone systems with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the calendar efficiently.
  • Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel welcome and comfortable.
  • Verify insurance details and handle pre-certification and billing tasks.
  • Perform other front office duties as needed to support the team.
  • Use your computer skills to manage correspondence and maintain records.
  • Understand and follow regulatory guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance requirements.
