About The Position

Primary Purpose Leads and supervises experienced business enablers and/or entry-level individual contributors within orthotics and prosthetics services to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care and operational effectiveness. Maintains steady workflow, resolves day-to-day operational decisions, and supports delivery of orthotics and prosthetics services in alignment with clinical standards and organizational goals. Applies foundational knowledge of orthotics and prosthetics operations, adapts procedures and tools as needed, and utilizes basic management practices including scheduling, prioritization, coaching, and process execution to support team performance and service excellence. Minimum Specifications Education Bachelor's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited program OR any major with a post-graduate Orthotics and Prosthetics certificate from a CAAHEP accredited program Experience Must have 3 years of leadership or supervisory role in Orthotics and Prosthetics setting. Equivalent Education and/or Experience Certification/Registration/Licensure Current licensure with the Texas Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics. Certification from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics (ABC) or be certified as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) by the Board of Certification. Must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card prior to hire and/or placement in job from one of the following: American Heart Association American Red Cross Rescuer Military Training Network. Manages day to day activities of the orthotics and prosthetics function, including workflow prioritization, staffing coordination, and resolution of routine operational challenges to support patient care delivery. Coordinates orthotics and prosthetics service delivery by ensuring timely patient fittings, device fabrication, adjustments, and follow-up care in collaboration with clinical staff. Implements established protocols, procedures, and quality standards to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety requirements, and best practices in orthotics and prosthetics services. Executes operational processes related to inventory management, equipment utilization, and documentation to support efficient and accurate service delivery. Advises clinical staff, patients, and caregivers on device use, care, and expectations, ensuring clear communication and alignment with treatment plans. Educates internal stakeholders on orthotics and prosthetics services, processes, and capabilities to support interdisciplinary collaboration and improved patient outcomes. Evaluates performance of team members by monitoring productivity, quality, and adherence to standards, providing feedback to support continuous improvement. Coaches less experienced staff by providing guidance, training, and support to enhance technical skills, service delivery, and adherence to operational expectations. Provides delivery of orthotics and prosthetics services as needed to support departmental operations Job Accountabilities Leadership & Talent- Supervises exempt and non-exempt/hourly/support-level employees. Requirements
