About The Position

CALIFORNIA SCHOOL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION Secretary III - San Jose, CA We are seeking a Secretary for the Member Benefits Department in our headquarters office in San Jose, CA. The Secretary supports the Member Benefits Department and reports to the Director of Member Benefits. CSEA's Member Benefits Department markets services to CSEA members and staff, including travel, merchandising, sales, and discount programs, and does all the Association’s event planning. The California School Employees Association represents over 250,000 school employees who work in 750 school districts in California. They provide support services to school children as para-educators, administrators, food service, bus drivers, nurses, and skilled employees in grounds, maintenance and operations. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to members and staff
  • Anticipate needs and prepare materials for Conferences, meetings and events
  • Process and mail ticket orders for amusement parks and attractions
  • Maintain and reconcile tickets and CSEA store inventory
  • Create and maintain databases, reports, and spreadsheets
  • Provide support at annual conference
  • Maintain financial records and files
  • Independently compose correspondence
  • Maintain office filing and record systems
  • Maintain effective office procedures and work flow
  • Assist visitors and telephone callers
  • Acts as front desk receptionist and greets staff, members, and visitors
  • Monitors and routes incoming calls and answers questions
