This position will support the operational aspects of Camping Services as well as represent Young Life and the Camping department in a Christ-centered, relational and professional manner. This role is seasonal (3 months) and offers more than just a job; it invites you into a close-knit, missional community formed by individuals serving together from August 6th through November 10th. During this time, shoulder season crew live and work alongside one another, building meaningful relationships rooted in shared purpose and service. The shoulder season positions are spread across multiple departments, with team members typically serving 3–5 days each week in Housekeeping to help turn over camp between groups. Remaining days and hours are spent supporting areas such as Landscape, Retail, and Food Services. While most individuals will gain experience across several departments, all team members are expected to step in wherever help is needed on a given day, requiring flexibility and a genuine servant’s heart. This dynamic environment fosters collaboration, personal growth, and a deep sense of meaning through both work and daily life. All camps share a common purpose: creating an environment where Young Life staff bring Christ to life by creatively presenting the complete gospel of Jesus Christ. Speaking clearly from the Scriptures, camp speakers introduce kids to the person of Christ, the nature of humanity, the work of Christ on the cross, the hope of the resurrection and the opportunity for reconciliation with God.
