About The Position

Portland’s only riverfront country club with an unrivaled culture of year-round golf and spirited experiences that bring active families and friends closer together. Waverley Country Club is currently seeking Servers to join us this summer season. We are looking for outgoing individuals with a positive attitude that can take direction and can work well as part of a team! This seasonal position is perfect for applicants looking for a fun and fast-paced seasonal serving position starting in Mid-May through the end of September. Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends and willing to work flexible hours. The starting pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Waverley is a non-tipping club. In lieu of tips, we offer access to the golf course, use of kayaks and/or paddle boards for the river on Mondays, and meals during scheduled shifts. Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to work weekends and flexible hours.
Must have a current Food Handlers Card and OLCC Permit.
Ability to lift 15-30 pounds.
Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment
Communicate effectively with members to help them with their food and beverage selections
Take ownership of an assigned section with the goal to exceed members’ expectations
Input food and drink order accurately into the point-of-sale system
Properly set up and maintain all service areas according to standards
Commit to recognizing and acknowledging members by name.
Communicate any special requests with kitchen and any dissatisfaction with manager-on-duty
Assist in setting and resetting Club rooms for events
Upholds a professional and welcoming appearance and demeanor.
