As a Seasonal Sales Associate, you are responsible for creating a first-rate client experience through superior sales and service at the Hive Boutiques store for Him and Her. You'll be a valued member of the Hive team, playing a key role in delighting our customers. You should be well-versed in our Hive Boutiques brands and passionate about helping customers find items that light up their day!

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 15 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
  • Ability to maneuver effectively around the floor, stock room, and cash wrap.
  • The position entails prolonged standing.
  • Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow dress code guidelines.
  • Demonstrate honest and ethical behavior.
  • Work scheduled shifts, demonstrate flexibility when schedule changes are necessary, and notify your manager prior to your shift if you are delayed or unable to work.
  • Record all time worked promptly and accurately.
  • Follow all safety guidelines.
  • Safeguard sensitive, private, and confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a Positive Customer Experience
  • Welcome customers immediately with sincerity and enthusiasm and create a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Maintain an active floor presence, demonstrating availability and openness to the customer.
  • Engage customers with an intuitive approach to determine their needs.
  • Provide an exceptional fitting room experience.
  • Return to the fitting room often to check in on the customer and remove unwanted items.
  • Provide relevant fashion advice, product knowledge, and recommendations.
  • Bring additional merchandise to complete the customer's look.
  • Complete the customer experience with an accurate and efficient checkout.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and efficiency at the point of sale.
  • Be gracious in accepting returns and turn them into a sale when possible.
  • Fold, wrap, or hang the customer's purchase meeting Hive's wrapping standard.
  • Send professional thank-you notes to your customers.
  • Provide exceptional service to the customer through professionalism, ownership, and initiative.
  • Handle requests and daily tasks courteously and productively, using appropriate language and tone of voice.
  • Show your willingness to be of assistance and take initiative in finding creative solutions when faced with obstacles.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Team up with other salespeople to best serve the client's needs.
  • Outreach to support in-store and online sales, and invite customers to special events when appropriate.
  • Show commitment to the team through collaboration and positive, proactive communication.
  • Raise concerns in a timely, constructive, and appropriate manner.

  • Store Maintenance and Operations
  • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in all tasks and procedures to support the sales floor.
  • Maintain the store when customers are not present, including receiving shipments, stocking, and maintaining displays.
  • Complete projects and tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow inventory procedures.
  • Seek ways to improve your own performance.
  • Demonstrate productivity, using time efficiently and effectively to deliver strong results.
