About The Position

Mendocino Community Health Center (MCHC) has an opening for a Deputy Director to join our Care for Her team. The Deputy Director serves under the Chief Medical Officer and works collaboratively with the Care for Her Department Manager and the OB/GYN Clinical Director to direct and support operations of the Care for Her Department.

Requirements

• Active CA license: CNM
• Seven or more years’ experience in the clinical role
• Demonstrated leadership in current or previous positions

Responsibilities

• Works in collaboration with the Clinical Director to oversee the quality of women’s health services delivered by Care for Her.
• Collaborates on the development of and adherence to the departmental budget.
• Ensures compliance with documentation protocols for both inpatient and outpatient services rendered so that accurate and timely billing can commence.
• Reviews and approves credentials and delineated clinical privileges for clinical staff.
• Stays current on medical practice guidelines.
• Develops and facilitates training for clinical staff, in accordance with all regulatory agencies and malpractice/liability insurance providers.
• Plans, develops, and implements supplemental services for MCHC patients, in alignment with the organizational strategic plan and in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Engages in direct patient care and related duties within the primary role job description.
