About The Position

Flowers for Dreams is ushering in a craft flower movement. Locally crafted flowers for fair and honest prices across locations in Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, as well as overnight shipping to most of the Great Lakes region. The Retail + Daily Design Assistant is responsible for executing the day-to-day flow of the retail space. This role requires a dependable, self-directed individual who maintains an energetic and inviting demeanor while keeping things running smoothly and efficiently. This is a temporary position for our Valentine's Day operation. However, outstanding candidates are often asked to return regularly! Help us become the leading brand in flowers and a nationwide, socially conscious leader!

Requirements

1+ years in retail sales, floral, and/or field marketing roles.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
People person, high energy, always resourceful.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and under time constraints.
Perfect time management skills.
Shared aesthetic preferences and values with Flowers for Dreams brand.
Maintain a professional, kind, and supportive presence in the studio.
Comfortable working with your hands and on your feet.
Ability to work with a tablet, sales platforms, Google apps.

Responsibilities

Assists with daily route preparation and dispatch communication with our couriers.
Efficient and speedy bouquet and arrangement making by following a recipe.
Enthusiastically greet and assist customers with their design, product and sales needs.
Assist in the execution of floral workshops and DIY experiences.
Maintain communication with managers, HQ, Customer Experience teams.
Maintain constant shop upkeep, decor, and studio cleanliness.
Track retail inventory.
Card writing.
