About The Position

Our host greets guests as they enter and sets the tone of their dining experience. They engage with guests to ensure their experience is superlative and work collaboratively with all the staff to help maintain cleanliness standards and deliver exceptional service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior restaurant experience is preferred
• Friendly and outgoing demeanor
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure managing a very busy shift
• Outstanding customer-oriented people skills
• Patient and friendly with demonstrated experience in problem solving
• Able to become familiar with restaurant specifics and prepared to answer a wide variety of questions
• Positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
• Ability to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
• Work well with other staff as a team
• Maintain a good energy level for an entire busy shift
• Ability to be flexible and work a variety of shifts
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe
• Able to carry trays or supplies weighing 10-30 lbs

Nice To Haves

• Prior restaurant experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and seat them appropriately, managing a waiting list when necessary
• Provide menus and answer any initial questions
• Manage seating in an equitable manner in terms of customer preference and server workload
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and answer questions
• Ensure entrance is clean, attractive, and well-maintained
• Respond to complaints and assist in resolving issues
• Work with other staff as a team
• Work diligently to achieve outstanding service quality
• Maintain an attitude of positivity, with no gossiping, complaining, or negativity
• All other duties as assigned
