About The Position
Historic New England seeks seasonal, part-time Guides to work weekends at Southern Maine site Hamilton House, a Georgian mansion and vibrant garden that has been used as a merchant’s wharf, a productive farm, and a breath-taking vacation home. In addition to the presentation of interpretative tours, guides will participate in daily care of the museum spaces and collections and assist the Site Manager with public programs and group tours. Training is provided.
Requirements
- Enjoy working with the public
- Have an interest in history
- Be comfortable working with computers
- Must be available weekend days
- Have a flexible schedule
- Commit to employment through the end of the 2026 season, May - October
Nice To Haves
- Experience in customer service desirable
