About The Position

1-800-flowers.com is looking for a Fruit Bouquet Designer for our Ft. Lauderdale
Merchandise Distribution Center (MDC). This is a high volume, fast paced
environment. The ideal candidate must be able to meet all company standards,
have a creative background and enjoy working as a team to meet the work
deadlines.

The expected salary range for this position is $17/hour. The actual compensation
will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.

Requirements

• Need a High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to work longer hours during holidays and on weekends
• Must be able to stand and work in hot/cold temps for extended periods of time
• Able to lift 25-40 pounds
• Capable of working under pressure in a fast paced, changing environment
• Good organizational and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Fruit/Food design experience, a plus
• Bi-lingual, a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan, prep,  and cut fruit (chocolate dip some fruit when necessary).
• Check fruit regularly for quality and freshness, meeting company and FDA standards.
• Receive and inspect all deliveries.
• Keep cooler clean and organized at all times.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
