About The Position

The Seasonal Deputy Weighmaster will assist the winemaking and cellar departments by providing timely and accurate weighs for grape and bulk wine trucking though the 2026 harvest. The position requires an understanding of scale operations to ensure the highest accuracy standards are being upheld while maintaining production demands and schedules. At all times, the Seasonal Deputy Weighmaster will maintain the integrity and quality of the product while adhering to Duckhorn Portfolio’s philosophy and mission.

Requirements

• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Weigh grape and bulk wine shipments as outlined in SOPs
• Track and accurately record shipments using AgCode software
• Prepare, complete, and review shipment documentation (i.e. BOLs, Weighmaster Certificates, etc.)
• Work with the winemaking, cellar, and lab teams to ensure truck processing timing and logistical goals are achieved
• Maintain records and shipping information
• Communicate shipping activities to winemaking, grower relations and cellar teams
• Sustain a friendly and professional relationship with growers and drivers
• Perform multi-departmental duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment
• Participate in departmental and company-wide safety program
• Support ISO 9001 compliance
