About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Seasonal Cook to join our culinary team from May through October. As a cook at The Point, you will play a vital role in delivering a diverse menu that complements our tropical tiki bar atmosphere. Your creativity and passion for fresh, local ingredients will contribute to an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing demands.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Able to work in a high pace and hot environment.
  • A passion for creating delicious food that enhances the overall guest experience.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and side dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu offerings that align with our island-style dining concept.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers to source fresh, local ingredients.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere.
  • Follow all opening and closing procedures.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
