Seasonal Art & Science Fellowship Coordinator

Brooklyn Botanic GardenNew York, NY
6d$35

About The Position

Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s mission to connect people to the world of plants and spark curiosity about science is expressed by the sharing of its living and non-living collections, programs that encourage lifelong learning, and engaging public experiences. Art has been a primary vehicle used by BBG to encourage visitors to make connections between science and the beauty of nature for decades. BBG currently welcomes over 860,000 visitors each year. In 2025, Brooklyn Botanic Garden launched an art fellowship that works with artists and environmental thinkers to create science-based, site-specific artwork through an 18-month fellowship. Fostering co-creation and collaboration among artists and environmental thinkers and displaying their work, the project deepens the connection to science and inspires an appreciation and sense of stewardship of the environment. To carry this out, BBG is looking for a detail-oriented Art & Science fellowship coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. This position will also engage in coordinating and implementing other art exhibitions at BBG.
