As a Scrum Master within PNC's AMG Tech organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Birmingham, AL, Cleveland, OH or Dallas, TX. This role supports and facilitates generally one to two Scrum Teams in various functions by fostering Agile values and practices. It ensures team adherence to Agile principles and provides coaching to the Scrum Team(s) on how to execute the Scrum framework. The position organizes and facilitates ceremonies, identifies improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risk. It tracks and communicates overall team progress, providing visibility to stakeholders, and serves as a filter to remove impediments. The Scrum Master protects the team from outside influences to ensure focus on Scrum Team priorities and partners with the Product Owner to ensure backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team. PNC Employees are expected to be Customer Focused, knowledgeable of values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction, and skilled in Managing Risk by assessing and effectively managing all risks associated with business objectives and activities to ensure adherence to PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

  • University / college degree, or a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service).
  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitate generally one to two Scrum Teams in various functions by fostering Agile values and practices.
  • Ensure team adherence to Agile principles.
  • Provide coaching to the Scrum Team(s) on how to execute the Scrum framework.
  • Organize and facilitate ceremonies, identify improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risk.
  • Track and communicate the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders.
  • Serve as a filter to remove impediments to progress as identified by the team.
  • Protect the team from outside influences to ensure the team remains focused on Scrum Team priorities.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team.
  • Be Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Manage Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
