About The Position

As a Scoops Crew Member at our ice cream stand, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our members and guests. You will be responsible for ensuring a delightful ice cream experience by assisting with daily operations, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and providing top-notch customer service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service, food service, or retail is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and recipes precisely.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream treats, beverages, and snacks to customers promptly and accurately.
  • Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, assisting them in making menu choices and offering recommendations.
  • Operate cash registers and handle transactions efficiently, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including regularly cleaning countertops, equipment, and display areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ice cream, toppings, cones, and other supplies; restock as needed to ensure products are readily available.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
  • Assist in setting up and closing down the ice cream stand before and after operational hours.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, comments, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Promote club memberships, events, and activities to customers as appropriate.
