About The Position

We are a well-funded biotech startup that has developed a proprietary single cell platform that resolves a bottleneck for immunotherapy. We are currently looking for an antibody development scientist to join our interdisciplinary team. The candidate is expected to adapt quickly and communicate well, especially in a fast-paced startup environment. They will collaborate with other team members and be part of an exciting journey. Requirements

  • PhD in Structure biology, Protein engineering, Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field, with 4+ years industry experience or postdoctoral training leading cross-functional projects and having delivered results (direct contributions to a drug candidate).
  • Strong background in protein engineering and antibody development with a focus on bispecific or multispecific antibodies.
  • Extensive experience in bispecific antibody production and developability optimization.
  • Hands-on experience designing and advancing T cell engagers or multispecific antibodies.
  • Experience with antibody discovery/engineering using phage/yeast display.
  • Knowledge of T cell biology and T cell activation mechanisms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, take initiative, and drive projects forward independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design T-cell engagers and execute their development and optimization campaigns.
  • Work with internal and external team on antibody discovery, characterization, and production.
  • Drive developability and manufacturability assessments.
  • Manage external relationships and deliverables.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with computational scientists and immunologists to optimize and validate candidate molecules through iterative engineering and in vitro/in vivo studies.
