About The Position

Biogen is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Scientist I/II position within its Pharmaceutical Development organization. This individual will help the buildup of the biopharmaceutics function and drive the implementation of biopharmaceutical strategies for small molecule pharmaceuticals from pre-clinical through commercialization. This position is ideally suited for someone interested in rethinking the role of biopharmaceutics within pharmaceutical development. Our team is empowered like a startup, but with the resources of a large company. We succeed by collaborating strategically with our partners inside and external to Biogen. The successful candidate will perform bench scale activities with heavy emphasis on the design and development of predictive in vitro methodologies to support small molecule formulation development from preclinical to commercial stage. Requirements

  • Background in Biopharmaceutics, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related science. Strong lab-based knowledge of predictive dissolution and IVIVC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of predictive in vitro methodologies to assess and predict in vivo performance of various formulation types in order to develop a more competitive drug product and enhance patience compliance
  • Identify and champion the implementation of innovative concepts and technologies in the areas of biopharmaceutics, predictive dissolution, in vitro-in vivo correlation (IVIVC), absorption modeling, PBPK modeling, etc.
