Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a School Psychologist to play a vital role in working with the stakeholders (e.g., students, parents, teachers, administrators) to support the learning and development of students across the age range (K-12 and transition) to help them succeed academically, behaviorally, emotionally, and socially.

Requirements

  • Specialist (e.g., 6th Year, Ed.S., CAS, CAGS) or doctoral degree in school psychology from an accredited university preferred
  • Current Certification in School Psychology (070) required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents, school districts, and all levels of staff across the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must have satisfactory background checks
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with school employees to develop and implement evidence based social, emotional, and behavioral programming.
  • Delivers implementation of this programming at the systems, classroom, and individual levels.
  • Communicates progress to parents and provides support as necessary.
  • Completes social/behavioral, academic, cognitive, adaptive, and transition assessments.
  • Interprets findings and presents results to stakeholders (e.g., parents, district administrators, school employees)
  • Ensures a trauma aware environment for all students.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Cultivate a positive and productive workplace atmosphere to enhance team morale and productivity.
  • Participate in and complete training sessions as delegated by management to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Conduct training as required and assigned.
  • Perform any additional job responsibilities assigned by supervisors or team leaders to support the organization's smooth operation.
  • Accept reassignment as required.
