About The Position

The Nurse Anesthesia Pathway Director for Graduate Clinical Programs is responsible for the oversight of the Post- BSN to DNP Pathway for Nurse Anesthesia. The Nurse Anesthesia Pathway Director works collaboratively with the Associate and Assistant Deans for Graduate Clinical Education in the oversight and supervision of the nurse anesthesia pathway. The Pathway Director provides leadership in: 1)implementation and evaluation of specialty curriculum to ensure alignment with DNP Program outcomes, applicable certification requirements, and accreditation and professional standards; 2) the consistent application of policies for admission, progression, and graduation; 3) proper handling of student academic issues, grievances and appeals; and 4) quality improvement of curriculum. The Pathway Director works collaboratively with the Assistant Deans for Graduate Clinical Education, the Associate Dean for Graduate Clinical Education, and the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

Requirements

  • A doctorate in nursing or related field.
  • Experienced educator with relevant teaching and clinical practice experience.
  • Certification and licensure in advanced nursing practice role.
  • Demonstrated leadership/management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in leading highly effective teams.
  • Experience in the mentoring role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation and professional standards that specialty graduates must meet.
  • Effective communication skills that promote teamwork, strategic action, problem resolution, and collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrated track record of outcome achievement.

Responsibilities
