About The Position

The Medical Director serves as a senior clinical and organizational leader within the Health Center and is directly responsible for all clinical operations, quality of care, and patient safety initiatives. In this role, the Medical Director provides strategic oversight of medical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care across all programs. Working collaboratively with the Executive Director and the broader leadership team, the Medical Director helps advance the mission of the Health Center by aligning clinical operations with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and community needs. This partnership includes shared responsibility for strategic planning, program development, performance improvement, and resource optimization. The Medical Director leads and supports clinical staff, fosters a culture of professionalism and accountability, and promotes continuous quality improvement through data-driven decision making, provider education, and adherence to best practices. Key responsibilities also include oversight of clinical policies and procedures, compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards, and integration of care models that improve access, outcomes, and patient experience. As a visible leader within the organization, the Medical Director champions health equity, supports interdisciplinary collaboration, and serves as a clinical ambassador to internal stakeholders and external partners. Through effective leadership and partnership with executive management, the Medical Director plays a critical role in ensuring that clinical excellence remains central to fulfilling the Health Center’s mission and commitment to the community.
