About The Position

The School Nurse will provide health care for students Preschool through Grade 12. The School Nurse will assess school health and safety status; assist in the implementation of health and safety processes and procedures; maintain student immunization, health records, and other necessary records; complete various screenings (i.e. vision, hearing); and serve as a resource to the school districts regarding health-related issues in an educational setting. The School Nurse may monitor other health aides/workers in the districts as assigned.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the State of Ohio Board of Nursing to practice as a registered nurse (RN degree required)
• Possess a baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Have or be able to obtain Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License or Registration or School Nurse
