School Nurse (Districtwide Services)
About The Position
Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) is a K-8 district. FUESD is nestled in the foothills about 50 miles northeast of San Diego, California. The District extends from the Pacific Ocean I-5 (San Clemente Area) and East of the I-15. Under the general supervision of the District Nurse and Administration: To provide a variety of specialized health care services for students who are health impaired and/or have specialized health care needs To administer first aid to students and staff To maintain health service information and records To do related work as required DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION: APPLICATION DEADLINE: Until Filled LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: Student Year Calendar WORKSITE: Districtwide Services WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 5 days/week, 7:40 a.m. - 3:10 p.m. BENEFITS: Benefit package includes Health and Welfare, paid sick leave, vacation, and holidays (currently observing 14 paid holidays a year). REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING: Two (2) years of college course work in nursing, physiology or related field; two (2) years of nursing experience; or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Willing to take additional training to treat specific medical conditions to permit students to effectively participate in instruction. REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATE: Current California registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse and First Aid/CPR Certificate. REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS (PDF): Certificate Copy - California Licensed Vocational Nurse/Registered Nurse CPR/First Aid Certification - Issued by the American Red Cross Letter of Recommendation - 1 (within the last year and preferably from most recent employer) Resume APPLICATION DIRECTIONS: This position is open to all qualified candidates. Requirements
