School Nurse 2025–2026 School Year Ampersand Therapy is excited to hire a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for school nurse position for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year in Wheeling, IL! Position Details Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday Location: Wheeling CCSD 21, Poe Elementary School Start Date: March 2nd, 2026 Service Area: Student health services, medication administration, health education, emergency care, and collaboration with school staff

Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
• Type 73 Illinois Certificate / IL PEL with School Nurse endorsement (required)
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• School nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide general health services and emergency care to students
• Administer medications and maintain accurate student health records
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with students, staff, and parents
• Collaborate with school teams to support student health and safety
• Maintain organization of health logistics across diverse age groups
