About The Position

Our school needs a School Nurse to care for our students. We’re looking for a caring, compassionate, experienced professional who loves taking care of children and excels at communication and engagement. The position requires administrative work as well as one-on-one time with students, and we’re looking for an individual who truly cares about making our school a better place for our students.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing required
• 2+ years’ experience at a school or in an educational environment
• Impeccable organisation skills
• Able to establish rapport with students and their parents

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients who complain of specific ailments
• Call parents to suggest they pick up patients who might be uncomfortable or who might have developed a contagious illness
• Educate students on hand washing, germs and other health care and safety issues
• Examine and authenticate vaccination records
• Contact parents and teachers with any medical emergency
• Develop and manage school health and wellness program
• Maintain files on each student’s health and medical history
